Pharmacokinetics
After intravenous injection into body tissues, this product rapidly exerts its pharmacological effect at the target site, and can cross the placenta to enter the fetal circulation.
Cisatracurium besilate is indicated for assisted endotracheal intubation requiring skeletal muscle relaxation, mechanical ventilation, and various types of surgery. Due to its longer half-life and lower dependence on the Hofmann elimination pathway, atracurium is suitable for muscle relaxation maintenance in patients undergoing long-duration surgery and in intensive care units.
The mechanism of action of cisatracurium besilate is similar to that of tubocurarine chloride, but this product is a non-depolarizing muscle relaxant. It mainly blocks the conduction of nerve impulses, relaxes muscles and can release histamine, but the effect is milder than that of tubocurarine. It is characterized by rapid onset and high muscle relaxant effect.
